What could affect resale value?

A lower asking price can be attractive, but resale value also depends on condition, desirability, supply, selling fees and how quickly a buyer is found. We do not yet have verified transaction data to estimate an investment return for this piece.

Work out your break-even price

Try a resale scenario using your own estimates. This does not predict what the watch will sell for.

The purchase field starts with the observed asking price. Replace it with your expected purchase price and enter any costs that apply.

OBSERVED PRICE HISTORY

The story behind the price.

Rolex Day-Date 40 Slate Ombre Roman Dial on President 228235 Card 2026 · Matching reference, variant, set & condition · USD asking prices

No trend to show yet.

We need more comparable price checks before drawing a trend.

What does a trend need?

At least two observed days, each with five comparable listings from three retailers. We leave gaps when coverage is too thin.

Each day uses the last observed price per listing. Days with insufficient coverage are left blank. Changes in inventory can move the average.

Recorded price data

There is not enough recorded history yet to describe a market trend. Observations will accumulate as this piece is checked.

About these prices

Our comparison uses observed asking prices for matching variants and conditions. The daily median is the middle price; the average is the arithmetic mean. Each day counts the last observation for each listing. Inventory changes can move these figures without the same watch changing price.

Purchase, payment, delivery, returns and authentication are provided by the retailer you choose. Read its current terms before purchasing. Read our methodology.
