A good asking price is only the beginning.
Enjoy the watch. Understand the limits of its asking price.
What does an asking price tell you?
It tells you what a seller currently requests. It does not prove that a buyer will pay that amount. Compare genuinely similar pieces, then consider how long they have been available and what costs a future sale would involve.
Start with your total cost
Add the purchase price, known shipping, buyer fees and any applicable taxes or duties. An attractive headline price can be less attractive at checkout. If a cost is unknown, leave it visible as unknown rather than treating it as zero.
Separate enjoyment from resale prospects
A watch can be a worthwhile purchase because you use and enjoy it, even if its resale price falls. Treat prospective resale proceeds as uncertain. Our history records asking prices; it is not a verified transaction index.
